The Sounding Line: Big Brush & Sacred Sound

A collaborative improvised performance by Elana Bell and Barbara Bash weaving sound, voice, poetry, and live painting into an immersive, spontaneous experience. Through sacred sound, spoken word, and sweeping brushwork created in real time, the event invites audiences into presence, wonder, and creative connection. The evening will conclude with an opportunity for the audience to interweave their own expression through voice and brush.

Barbara Bash
Barbara Bash is a calligraphic artist who has played with musicians, dancers and poets in performance over many years. She is currently a Visiting Artist in the Creative Music Workshop at the Halifax Jazz Festival each summer.
