Pre-requisite: This retreat is for Shambhala tantrikas, who have attended SWA or Vajrayana Seminary.

In the 8th century, Yeshe Tsögyal had a vision in which Vajrayogini gave her pith instructions for practicing trekchö, which is known as “cutting through to primordial purity.” Trekchö is the dzokchen equivalent of mahamudra, and both are the epitome of the path of wisdom. These teachings were lost until they were re-discovered as terma by Chokgyur Lingpa in the 19th centery. This profound but accessible text gives concise instructions for recognizing and resting in the empty and luminous nature of mind.

Werma practitioners should bring their Werma texts and feast liturgy and Sacred World or Seminary graduates should bring their brushes. The main trekcho program will conclude Sunday p.m. with a Werma Feast, and stroke practice for those who have not attended Rigden Abhisheka. Monday is an optional practice day: You may depart at any time, or stay until lunchtime for morning practice and optional interviews with Acharya John.
