Snow lions delight in crisp mountain air. They frolic and play in an atmosphere of splendidness, enjoying freshness on the spot and radiating unconditional healthiness.  Thinking of others is the lion’s discipline and the gateway to the discovery of awakened heart.

This week of group retreat will be based on mindfulness-awareness (shamatha-vipashayana) and contemplation practices with opportunities for individual and group meditation instruction, conversation and gentle physical activity.  Some days will be in silence. There will be time to walk outdoors and enjoy the elemental magic and beauty of Sky Lake.  Together we will explore the Shambhala Buddhist teachings on unconditional healthiness, loving kindness, bravery and awakening the heart.

Full participation in this week of retreat fulfills the weekthun requirement that is a prerequisite for Shambhala Buddhist Assemblies.
