Perking Up- Calming Down- Just Being: A Weekend for Families
With Roger Guest, Donna Stephens and Alison Pepper
August 25 - 27, 2017
Come and enjoy being together with family at Sky Lake for a weekend retreat of play, presence, and kindness this summer! In the contemporary world, family life is often a whirlwind of competing priorities. Every moment has its demands and the basic joy of being together can get lost. Celebrating space and relaxing into natural awareness– each according to our age, who we are, and our place in life– helps us to optimize our time together and to cherish our connections.
This program includes short periods of meditation, discussion, mindfulness activities, play and art. Parents, grandparents, and children of all ages are most welcome to participate in the program and to enjoy all that Sky Lake and upstate NY has to offer in late summer.
Parents are asked to attend to the unique needs of children under age five.
