The Wisdom and Compassion of Economic Justice

“The Wisdom and Compassion of Economic Justice” is a live in-person interview of David McCarthy by Joanna Rotté. Their conversation will explore David’s unique experience as a local leader in the fields of sustainability and climate advocacy, and what it means as well as what it takes for a person to fulfill their life’s work particularly in the light of contemplative practice.

David McCarthy, a music graduate of the University of Michigan, is an independent thinker as well as a Renaissance man with a life-long meditation practice based in extensive dharma study. He is a jazz guitarist and an innovator, an author and a publisher, a co-founder of the Hudson Valley “current” as an alternative to money, and an activist on behalf of a humane economy. He lives in Kingston, NY and leads meditation at the Good Work Institute.
