Open House at Sky Lake is a monthly series
Meditation and dharma teacher Daniel Berlin in conversation with Joanna Rotté concerning the wonders and meanings of the Heart Sutra – that seemingly elusive, utterly lyrical, inherently practical, universally cherished, and fully transformational wisdom teaching on the nature of emptiness and compassion. The Heart Sutra is the Buddhist text most often recited world-wide, regardless of people, place, or lineage.
Daniel Berlin is a visual artist living in the Hudson Valley in a house he built for his family. In college at Illinois State, he studied painting and drawing. At Naropa University in Boulder, he began a lifelong path of Tibetan Buddhism. He holds an MFA from the University of Colorado. A meditation practitioner who writes haiku poetry, he is a teacher of the Buddha dharma with a special place in his heart for the Heart Sutra.
