In Search of KUNDUN with Martin Scorsese is an 85-minute film about the making of Scorsese’s monumental masterpiece KUNDUN (about the early life of the 14^th Dalai Lama up to his escape into exile). In Search of KUNDUN is an inside look at Scorsese’s historic interaction with real Tibetan people cast to portray key figures in the events that culminated in the Chinese Communist takeover of Tibet. In Search of KUNDUN documents how Scorsese and his team created KUNDUN’s staggeringly beautiful images of Tibetan art and culture.
